Whilst unbeaten in their last two competitive matches here, the ‘Hawks’ have won just four European qualification matches overall (W4, D7, L23).
Head coach Michal Bilek (KAZ) takes to the dugout for his second game in charge, and will be looking to improve his side’s competitive form on home soil since their surprise 2-2 World Cup qualifier draw with Poland in 2016 (W1, D3, L3, since). However, after Kazakhstan finished last in their Russia 2018 qualifiers group with just three points from ten matches, the travelling Scots contingent have cause for optimism.

After booking their place in the UEFA Nations League (UNL) play-offs next year, Alex McLeish (in all fixtures: W4, L6) will hope to follow on from their 4-0 win in Albania on their last awayday.
With six clean sheets from their last ten competitive matches (W7, D2, L1), the Scots have the form to lay the foundations for their first international finals appearance since 1998!
