Match Preview
Brighton and Chelsea kick off round 24 of the Premier League (PL). The Blues’ visit will mark the Seagull’s 150th league game at the Amex Stadium but the first ever meeting of the sides here! When the sides met earlier in the season, Chelsea won comfortably 2-0 at home.
Boring, boring Chelsea? The Blues have drawn their last five matches (beat Norwich after penalties in the FA Cup) in all competitions including three 0-0 games.
After four games without a win, and one win in their last 12, the dreaded relegation zone is sneaking up on the Seagulls (only three points clear of Stoke in 18th). A positive result against the reigning champions will be vital in terms of both points and momentum.
Brighton defender Lewis Dunk is optimistic ahead of the match, and stressed that they have performed well so far against the ‘big’ sides: “It goes without saying though that if we can get something out of the game it would be a massive boost for the whole team”.
Players to watch: The last time Alvaro Morata scored, Brighton left the Bridge with zero points. Since then, five goalless matches have gone by for the Spanish international. Can he net against Brighton yet again and end his dry spell?
Scoring in two of his last three appearances, Brighton top scorer Glenn Murray may be the man the Seagulls will look to for more goals.
Stat attack: Nice guys? Chelsea have picked up a PL low 27 yellow cards so far (but three reds!).
Behind Stoke, Brighton ranks as the second best behaved team with their meager collection of 31 yellow cards and no sending-offs.
Fifteen of Brighton’s 23 league points have come in front of their home fans.
Only West Brom (three), have played more 0-0 matches than these teams (two each).

Match Preview
After a long winter break, Utrecht welcome AZ Alkmaar as two of the top six meet in the Eredivisie (ERE). The visitors will be hard-pressed to carry on their good form and keep in touch with the leading teams, whilst Utrecht need a win to stay in the top seven.
A victory for either side will be tough as Utrecht’s home form, and AZ’s away form are nothing short of exceptional. Utrecht are unbeaten in 11 of their last 12 home games and AZ are unbeaten in each of their last 12 away ties (in all competitions).
Utrecht midfielder Yassin Ayoub has signed a pre-contract deal with Feyenoord. He has featured in every Eredivisie game this term, yet question marks remain as he has not been in the squad over the winter break friendly games – will the incoming manager Jean-Paul de Jong freeze the 23-year-old out?
AZ manager John van den Brom isn’t happy with third place and has told the press that they want to catch Ajax and PSV – a statement of intent from the Alkmaar man as the top three look detached from the rest of the league.
Players to watch: AZ Keeper Marco Bizot has the joint highest clean sheets record this term with seven to his name so far, he will not make it easy for Utrecht here.
Zakaria Labyad is a wanted man at Utrecht – with seven goals and five assists to his name, he has openly admitted that Utrecht is a stepping stone for him amidst keen interest from Ajax.
Stat attack: There have been over 2.5 goals scored in each of the last nine meetings between these two teams. AZ have scored 2+ goals in seven of their last eight vs Utrecht (all comps.).
Five of AZ’s last six away games have resulted with under 2.5 goals scored, three of their last five saw both teams score (ERE).

Amiens 1-1 Montpellier Prediction and Betting Tips | France (Ligue 1)

Match Result: 1:1 WON!!!
Match Preview
Amiens will fight to put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone in this round 21 encounter, while Montpellier will hope to close the gap on the European places. This match will mark the first ever meeting between them at the Stade de la Licorne in Ligue 1 (L1) history.
The last clash between these two sides at Amiens’ stadium was played on January 16, 2009 in Ligue 2 (L2) and the hosts won 2-0.
In six previous meetings at the Stade de la Licorne in all competitions, Amiens have won five and the other game was drawn. Indeed, Amiens is a hostile place for Montpellier, as they have never won even a single game. In the reverse fixture, Amiens obtained a well-earned draw (1-1) thanks to Danilo Avelar’s late equaliser (88’ min).
Currently 16th in the standings, Amiens and are only two points above the red zone. On a dreadful run of five straight defeats in all competitions and scoring only one goal in the process, Christophe Pélissier’s men come into this game after two fresh loses against PSG in the League Cup (0-2) and Nice in L1 last Saturday (1-0). About their current situation, coach Pélissier said: “We always say that after the rain comes the good weather, I hope the sun will come back quickly.”
After two rough qualifications in the French Cup against fifth division side Pontarlier (1-1, 2-4 PEN) and at Angers in the League Cup (0-1), Montpellier managed a very good draw in L1 last weekend, against title-holders Monaco at home (0-0). Presently in the first part of the L1 table, teammates Michel Der Zakarian’s side sit eighth place in the standings. In the Monaco post-match presser, coach Der Zakarian said: “We saw a big match, high level, with a lot of intensity, rhythm, play forward …”
Players to watch: Amiens’ best player so far this season has been Moussa Konate who has four goals and one assist in L1. However, he has not scored in his last five L1 matches. Will the Senegalese find the net once again in this clash?
On the other hand, Montpellier striker Giovanni Sio has been directly involved in a third of his team’s 17 goals. Indeed, he has a record of four goals and one assist in L1 this season.
Stat attack: Montpellier are unbeaten in their last seven away L1 games. With 13 goals conceded in 20 matches so far, Montpellier have the best defence in the league. Consequently, they have seen less than three goals scored (total) in 14 of their last 16 games. If Amiens want to break Montpellier’s defence, they will have to solve their problem up front. Indeed, they have failed to score in their last six matches in all competitions. Furthermore, Montpellier have recorded five clean sheets in their last seven away games in the league.
